Come learn about the Hillcrest Community and lifestyle from those who experienced it firsthand. At this oral history program participants will reminisce on the history of the community, the Great Migration to the north, jobs obtained during that time, some of the influential people, entrepreneurship and their gathering place, the “Barber Shop”. Participants will also discuss the many changes that have occurred over the years, and the importance of “Community”. This discussion will be led by Brenda Simmons.
